New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Monday said that minority institutions aided by the government cannot claim absolute right in the appointment of teachers; they can be regulated by the government.
The bench consisting of Justices Arum Mishra and UU Lalit upheld constitutional validity of West Bengal Madrassas Service Commission Act 2008, thus setting aside Calcutta high court verdict.
Based on it, a commission can decide the selection and appointment of teachers in madrassas.
