New Delhi: At 9.57 am today, India’s PSLV-C43 climbed skies carrying the HysIS satellite alongside a payload, marking the 45 th launch flight of polar satellite launch vehicle (PSLV) rocket.
As the rocket lifted off, scientists at Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota cheered. ISRO injected into space 31 satellites with combined payload of 641.5kg.
HysIS was put into orbit at 10.15 am and 30 other satellites got oriented into space by 11.45 am.
Indian space agency has confirmed the successful launch of the rocket.
The agency’s Sriharikota wing monitored the phase-1 of the mission post launch, while ISRO’s observation unit in Thiruvanathapuram kept track of the launch of other 30 satellites.
The launch of HysIS will help monitor of Earth’s surface within a bandwidth of 400nm-2500nm wavelength, reports say.
