Scribe nabbed for ‘inflammatory speech’ against Tipu, Prophet Muhammad

Bangaluru:  Police in Karnataka’s Kodagu district nabbed a journalist and editor of the right leaning magazine Aseema for his alleged inflammatory speech against Prophet Mohammed and Tipu Sultan.

Santosh Thammaiah was arrested around midnight following a complaint filed by a resident of Siddapura, Askar KV with Gonikoppa police.

His plaint said that Santosh Thammaiah made an inflammatory speech at an event organized by a HIndutva group.

Askar in his complaint quoted Thammaiah as saying, “it was because of Prophet’s ideologies that Tipu Sultan carried out terrorist acts”.
