UAE VP Sheikh Mansour in Doha for emergency Arab-Islamic Summit

Doha – On behalf of the President of the UAE, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, arrived in Qatar on Monday to head the UAE delegation at an emergency Arab-Islamic summit.

The meeting, convened jointly by the Arab League and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), is taking place in Doha under Qatar’s chairmanship. Leaders from across the Arab and Islamic world have gathered to discuss urgent measures in response to the escalating conflict in Gaza.

The summit follows Israel’s unprecedented strike on Hamas targets in Qatar last week, which triggered widespread anger and condemnation across the region. The extraordinary session is expected to focus on intensifying political and diplomatic pressure on Israel, while addressing mounting calls to end the war and ease the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

Regional observers note that the outcome of the summit could shape a unified Arab-Islamic stance at a critical moment for Middle East stability.
