A nationwide initiative inviting citizens and residents to pledge their support to President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has been launched in the UAE.
The Pledge and Commitment initiative was introduced by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, and aims to recognise the President’s role in strengthening security, stability and development across the country.
The campaign was announced during an event at the Abu Dhabi Energy Centre attended by more than 4,800 citizens, residents, students, investors, academics, business leaders and community representatives.
Sheikh Nahyan was the first to sign the pledge and described President Sheikh Mohamed as “a historic figure by every measure”.
Organisers said the initiative is built around four themes: promoting coexistence and unity, drawing inspiration from the President’s leadership values, strengthening civic responsibility and national identity and expressing appreciation for the country’s stability and prosperity.
The campaign has also been extended online through a dedicated website and QR code shared on social media platforms.
The pledge states that citizens and residents stand together in loyalty to President Sheikh Mohamed, describing him as a leader who has provided security and safety and guided the nation’s progress.
Organisers said participation will continue through institutional signings by companies, universities and organisations, as well as through community events and a multilingual digital platform.
People who sign the pledge through the initiative’s website, pledge.ae, receive a digital certificate that can be downloaded and shared.
