The UAE Ministry of Defence said air defence systems intercepted a new wave of Iranian missiles launched toward the country, confirming there was no damage.
The ministry said the operation was carried out with high efficiency and that forces remain in a high state of readiness to address any threats. It added that all necessary measures are being taken to respond to attempts to undermine the country’s security and stability, with the safety of citizens, residents and visitors described as an absolute priority.
Debris from the intercepted missiles fell in several areas of Abu Dhabi, including Saadiyat Island, St. Regis Abu Dhabi, Khalifa City, Beni Yas, Mohamed Bin Zayed City and Al Falah. No injuries were reported in those locations.
The ministry said the targeting represents a violation of national sovereignty and international law and stated that the UAE reserves the right to take all necessary measures to protect its territory and people and to preserve security and stability.
It also urged the public to rely on official sources for information and to avoid circulating rumours or unverified reports.
