Saudi border guards launch awareness exhibition on residency, border security in Al-Jouf

Saudi General Directorate of Border Guards in Al-Jouf has organized an exhibition titled “A Nation Without Violators” at the Cities Mall in Sakaka. The event, which runs until October 13, aims to educate the public on the importance of adhering to these laws and the penalties associated with violations.

The exhibition, part of the Ministry of the Interior’s communication efforts, stresses the need to report individuals who violate residency or border security laws. It also highlights the legal consequences for those who aid in the illegal entry, transport or sheltering of violators within the Kingdom.

In related efforts, Saudi authorities have successfully foiled multiple smuggling attempts. In the Al-Raboah area of Asir, land patrols intercepted an attempt to smuggle 85 kg of qat. The seized narcotics have been handed over to the authorities, with preliminary procedures completed.

Similarly, in the Al-Daer area of Jazan, three Ethiopian nationals were arrested for attempting to smuggle 240 kg of qat. Legal actions have been initiated against the individuals, and the confiscated items have been turned over to authorities.

These operations underscore Saudi Arabia’s ongoing commitment to securing its borders and enforcing its residency laws.
