Abu Dhabi Police have launched a smart robot designed to interact with the public, answer queries and boost traffic awareness. Modelled after the human body, this robot will be used in educational lectures and to instruct the public on safety guidelines, such as stopping when a school bus's 'Stop' sign is extended.
Developed by the Traffic and Security Patrols Directorate, the robot was programmed under the supervision of national experts from the directorate. Brigadier Mahmoud Yousef Al Balushi, Director of the Traffic and Security Patrols Directorate, emphasized that this advanced technology has improved efficiency and yielded positive results in police and security operations.
The smart robot can display digital traffic awareness videos, offer traffic advice and host traffic competitions, making it a versatile tool for promoting road safety.
