Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has endorsed Saudi Arabia's bid to host the FIFA World Cup 2034. The endorsement follows the completion of the bid's requirements and comes ahead of the official bid book submission in Paris, led by Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal Al Saud and SAFF President Yasser Al Misehal.
Prince Abdulaziz expressed gratitude to King Salman and the Crown Prince for their support, highlighting Saudi Arabia's transformation and growth as a global sports hub. He emphasized the Kingdom's commitment to hosting an exceptional tournament featuring 48 teams in a single country for the first time. The bid aligns with Vision 2030, aiming to elevate Saudi sport and nurture world-class athletes.
The official bid book submission will include the participation of two children from SAFF's youth regional training centers, symbolizing the aspirations of Saudi Arabia's youth. The bid process began on October 4, 2023, with the announcement of the intention to bid, followed by an official letter of intent and the unveiling of the bid brand identity, "Growing. Together." The host nation will be announced in December during FIFA's General Assembly meeting.
