Riyadh: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) has intensified its efforts to provide free healthcare services during this year's pilgrimage. The Saudi Ministry of Health has left no stone unturned, making elaborate preparations to cater to the medical needs of pilgrims at 14 air, land, and seaports.
To ensure the highest standard of care, a staggering 32,000 dedicated doctors will be on duty, working tirelessly to attend to the health requirements of the pilgrims. In a bid to enhance accessibility, the authorities have meticulously prepared 172 hospitals and health centres strategically located at the holy sites of Makkah and Madinah.
Building on the success of last year's Haj season, the ministry is also set to provide assistance and services to pilgrims through the innovative virtual hospital platform. Pilgrims will have access to remote medical consultations and support, augmenting their overall healthcare experience.
Recognizing the importance of mobility, medical aid centres and fully equipped mobile medical vehicles have been strategically deployed along the routes of the Mashaer and Haramain trains. This strategic measure ensures that medical assistance is readily available to pilgrims during their journeys.
In a bid to swiftly address emergencies, a fleet of 190 ambulances and 16 emergency centres has been stationed at the Jamarat Bridge facility in Mina. This comprehensive setup is designed to ensure rapid response and immediate medical attention if any unforeseen incidents occur.
