Riyadh: King Salman's representative, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, cleansed the Holy Kaaba in Makkah's Grand Mosque on his behalf, according to early Tuesday reports from the Saudi Press Agency.
Prior to the washing ceremony, Prince Mohammed bin Salman offered Tawaf and prayed, Arab News reported.
Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, the Saudi Arabian minister of sports, was in his company. Sheikh Abdulrahman Al-Sudais, head of the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques, welcomed them.
The washing of the Kaaba included participation by senior officials.
