A delegation from Harvard University, including faculty members and students from Harvard Business School, visited King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah to discuss prospects for academic cooperation.
The delegation toured the faculty of economics and administration, where university officials outlined academic offerings, research work and recent developments in business and management education.
The programme included an open meeting with King Abdulaziz University President Tareef Alaama. Discussions covered possible collaboration in teaching and research, the university said in a press statement.
KAU officials said the visit reflects expanding international engagement in higher education and aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals to strengthen universities and support a knowledge-based economy.
The faculty of economics and administration, the first faculty established at King Abdulaziz University, comprises 10 academic departments and offers more than 30 undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
The university said it is seeking to widen scientific and intellectual exchange and expand research and education through partnerships with institutions inside and outside the Kingdom. Officials added that such partnerships help support innovation, create new learning opportunities and strengthen the university’s academic and research output.
