Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman appointed as PM by Saudi Arabian king

Riyadh: According to a royal order, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia has appointed Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman as the country's Prime Minister, according to Saudi Press Agency.

In the meantime, the king issued a declaration on Tuesday ordering a cabinet overhaul and designating Saudi Prince Khalid bin Salman as the Minister of Defense, according to Xinhua.

Heads of ministries that were kept unchanged include the Energy Minister, the Foreign Affairs Minister, the Investment Minister, the Interior Minister, and the Finance Minister.
