Saudi Arabia imposes 3 year-ban on expats violating re-entry visa

The General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) on Sunday announced that the expatriates who have left on an exit and re-entry visa from Saudi Arabia will be banned from returning to the Kingdom for three years if it is not renewed within the stipulated time. However, the ban is not applicable if it's under a new work visa from the same sponsor.

It also forbids an expat to come on a new visa under another employer.

Exit and re-entry visas are usually applied for two-three months and expatriates must ensure their return or extend the visa accordingly. It should be renewed online before the expiry of the visa upon notifying sponsor as no automatic re-entry extension setup exists.

Earlier, the Saudi government had approved a new law allowing quarterly residency permits fee linked to labour licenses for migrant workers.
