Automall holds breast cancer awareness session, staff health checks in Doha

Automall held a breast cancer awareness session and an employee health screening campaign as part of its October workplace wellness activities.

The company, part of Al-Futtaim Automotive Group, organised the events on October 19 and 20 to improve access to health information and encourage preventive care among employees across DOMASCO.

Dr Gadha Mohyiddeen from Sidra Medicine led the breast cancer awareness session on October 19, coinciding with Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Female employees attended the talk, which covered early detection, potential warning signs and preventive healthcare practices. Participants could ask questions about regular screening and the importance of seeking medical advice promptly.

Automall reported strong participation and positive feedback from employees, describing health education as part of its support for women in the workplace.

The following day, the company partnered with Focus Medical Centre to hold a health check-up campaign at its 3S Facility in Doha’s Industrial Area.

Employees received consultations with general practitioners and dentists, plusblood pressure monitoring and blood sugar screening. Medical staff also measured height and weight, assessed body mass index and provided general health guidance.

The campaign was intended to make healthcare services accessible to employees and encourage them to prioritise their physical health and well-being.

Organisers reported a positive response from staff and support from Focus Medical Centre’s medical team.

It was the second employee health initiative held in collaboration with the centre. Automall said the activities formed part of its continuing work to promote workplace health and strengthen awareness of preventive care.
