MENA Effie Awards announces 2021 winners

The regional edition of the globally renowned marketing industry honours, the MENA Effie Awards, announced its 2021 winners at a ceremony in Dubai. After taking a break in 2020 due to the pandemic, the awards witnessed a 40% rise in entries from 2019.

The FP7 McCann Dubai received the Grand Prize for "The Bread Exam" campaign for the Lebanese Breast Cancer Foundation. The ad agency network received the title of the Most Effective Advertising Agency Office of the Year title, reported Arab News.

The firm bagged the most number of awards across its network of agencies which includes McCann Health and Momentum. FP7 McCann also received the title of the Most Effective Agency Network.

Tahaab Rais, president of SLC and regional head of strategy and truth central at FP7 McCann MENAT, said that it was good to see the industry come together amid the pandemic. He added that every piece of work created during the pandemic deserved double the applause as it was made amid stress and restrictions.

The firm has received the title of the Most Effective Advertising Agency and Network of the Year for the 8th consecutive year. He said that it is a testament of how if we, collectively and consistently, outthink, outwork and out care as brands, agencies, and people, you do end up coming out on top all things being equal, reported Arab News.

Luca Allam, CEO of PHD MENA, stated that the priority of PHD is to deliver marketing effectiveness for clients. "We are courageous enough to make leaps, we are not afraid to creatively push the boundaries. We are thrilled to be consistently delivering growth for our clients through great and innovative work."

Wunderman Thompson bagged 13 awards, and TBWA/RAAD picked up 11 titles. Havas Middle East and the BBDO network both won five awards each. Omnicom Group's PHD Dubai was named the Most Effective Media Agency Office of the Year.
