Lebanon's Hezbollah movement attacks Israel troops

Beirut: Israeli troops in the northern part were attacked by Lebanon's Hezbollah movement. The group has claimed a string of attacks with drones, artillery, and missiles.

In a statement, Hezbollah said its fighters targeted zionist soldiers west of Kiryat Shmona with "three attack drones", reported AFP. They added that the attacks were direct hits.

Earlier today, the group also claimed to have fired Burkan missiles at Israeli barracks and several other positions.

Israel said three drones attacked a spot near an army post but no injuries were reported. "25 launches were identified from Lebanon toward several locations adjacent to the border. Aerial defences intercepted a number of the launches and the rest fell in open areas."

Israel's army said it retaliated by sending tanks, a fighter jet, and a helicopter to "Hezbollah terror infrastructure in Lebanon."

Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah has described his group as an ally of Hamas.

At least 90 people have been killed on the Lebanese side in cross-border skirmishes since last month including 10 civilians.
