In the past 24 hours, 2 deaths have brought the death toll in Gujarat to 10,118, taking its overall tally to 8,31,078, while 573 new cases were reported on Thursday.
Covid cases have once again risen in Gujarat, with the state's daily caseload approaching 600 from 100 just six days prior. Gujarat's active caseload stands at 2,371, which includes 11 patients on ventilator support.
The latest cases reported on Thursday were 278 in Ahmedabad, followed by 78 in Surat, 50 in Vadodara, 28 in Rajkot, 19 in Kutch, 15 in Valsad, 14 in Anand, 10 in Bhavnagar, 9 in Mahisagar, 8 each in Bharuch, Kheda, Navsari, and 7 in Jamnagar.
One victim of the virus lived in Rajkot and the other in Aravalli.
It was good news for the state on Thursday when 102 people recovered from the disease, bringing the state's recovery rate to 98.5 percent.
