Dear Students,

“Don’t fear failure, it is not failure but aiming low that is the crime”

-Bruce Lee

Can you shoot without a target? Can you aim the ball without stumps, in cricket? Can you win a competition without focus? Well, so it is with Examinations. You need to focus sincerely and with dedication, giving your cent per cent best. Focus, dedication, sincerity, and concentration, are all factors to successful achievements.

Board Examinations are just around the corner. I am sure you all are burning the midnight oil giving your best which of course will pay rich dividends. The most important is your focus. It’s time to focus completely on your studies. Let nothing distract you. Let nothing disturb you or worry you. You should be in a good and peaceful frame of mind. So take care not to be at loggerheads with anyone at home or outside. Parents and dear ones will certainly support you in this venture called ‘Examinations’.

When the mind is without fear, hurt or worry and can be held high, then it works well, grasps well and achieves well. So dear students, it is important that you are at peace with yourself and with those around you when you sit for your studies.

As the Board Examinations draw close well-wishers far and near are anxious to wish their dear ones, “Best of Luck” “All the best” and on a sober note, “Do Well” “Put in your best”, “Give it your best shot”, and so on. Some are anxious while others dole out casual wishes.

Some of you are appearing for the Board Examination, the very first time, others, a second time, depending on whether it’s Grade 10 or 12. All the same, both are important benchmark years of your school life. As you move from one grade to the other, scaling the ladder of success, you are building your life and moving closer to your goal. You are moving closer to that dream that you have envisioned. Students confront the examination in a variety of ways. It all depends on your preparedness. Preparations should be all year round, not overnight but on par with the teacher’s teaching, part by a part that is easy to digest, constantly assessed by means of periodic tests. Assessment is very essential. Regular attendance too is mandatory.

“Patience, Persistence and Perspiration make an unbeatable combination for success” quoted Napoleon Hill. Yes, success does not come on a platter. Hard work, tireless effort, striving without ceasing, confidence, and belief in yourself is all part of the game. ‘Never Give up’ they say until the game is won. Success brings such joy. Look for it and enjoy it.

The Board Examination instils fear into many students. Fear hampers success. Fear hinders the proper presentation of matter which is incoherently written. Let me assure you that the Board Examination is just one of the examinations which you have been writing for years and an Art which you have mastered. So, with confidence and without fear, go ahead and confidentially appear for the Board Examination with belief in yourself and your creator. Success will surely be yours.

Wish you the very best, dear children. God Bless You All
