One of the controversial RSS ideologues from Kerala, T. G. Mohandas, who is known for his aggressive voice, had a case registered against him for suggesting the shooting down of the protesting students at Jantar Mantar over the NEET paper leak and for making obscene comments targeting female protesters, as if they liked being raped, after Kerala Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala ordered a police probe into it.
The case was ordered after Kerala Home Minister directed the police to probe the controversial statements following multiple complaints from political leaders.
In a widely circulated video, Mohandas can be heard advocating the use of lethal force to disperse the student protest, suggesting that the police should shoot at the protesters who remain there even after three warnings, resulting in deaths, after which the bodies could be taken away, which he believed would bring normalcy.
His other video showed him suggesting the withdrawal of the police from the site to let the site slip into chaos, where there would be murders and rapes, and no rape complaints would be filed since the protesters liked being raped, triggering outrage across Kerala's political spectrum. “Police should be withdrawn from the area, and it should be left to the protesters. Rapes and murders will happen. There will not be complaints about rape, because they like rape,” he was heard saying,
As per the direction from the Home Minister, Cyber Cell Inspector General P Prakash will investigate the case. Among the complainants, All India Youth Federation leader T T Jismon, who described the comments as obscene, inhuman and fundamentally anti-democratic. He argued that the statements reflected a fascist mindset that sought to crush peaceful democratic dissent through violence while insulting thousands of young protesters.
The Congress also demanded immediate action, accusing the RSS of fostering hatred, misogyny and violence. The party said that such rhetoric had no place in a democratic society and called for stringent legal action against Mohandas.
