Operation P hunt: 41 gets arrested in Kerala for spreading child porno through social media

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala police arrested 41 people, including youth and working professionals such as doctors, police trainee and IT officials in a case of spreading child nudity through social media. The raid was carried out in the state in the name of 'Operation P Hunt'.

The cyber police conducted the raid and 339 cases were registered and 392 devices including hard disks, memory cards, mobile phones were seized. Operation P Hunt acts its third raid this year.

41 people were arrested in the one- day raid. On Sunday 469 places were raided as a part of Operation P Hunt. 339 cases have been registered under the POCSO Department in all the districts.

The group promotes nude and pornographic videos of children age between six and fifteen. Operation P Hunt is carried out by Kerala Police with the help of Interpol finds the offenders those spread child pornography through social media. In two years 525 cases have been registered related to this.
