Madhyamam senior sub-editor Sulhaf earns REACH Media Fellowship for Health Journalism

Chennai: Sulhaf, a senior sub-editor at Madhyamam, has been awarded the REACH Media National Fellowship for Health Journalism, for the second time. The fellowship, valued at Rs 25,000, is aimed at studying the treatment of diabetes.

Sulhaf's impressive achievements in the field of health journalism include the National Media Award for Health Journalism, the India Science Media Award, the Kampissery Karunakaran Award for Best Editorial, and the Kerala Media Academy Fellowship. He has been a member of Madhyamam's editorial board since 2011 and is currently a senior sub-editor at the weekly magazine.

Prior to joining Madhyamam, Sulhaf worked as an editorial assistant at the State Encyclopedia Institute.

Sulhaf, son of Karuvatan Badaruddin-Sulaikha couple, hails from Vandoor in the Malappuram district. He is married to Hiba Tasneem, a teacher, and has two children, Fidel Anam and Harsh Zaman.

The awards ceremony for the REACH Media National Fellowship for Health Journalism will be held in Chennai on April 19, where Sulhaf and seven other awardees will be recognized for their exceptional work.
