Kerala HC issues directive to Centre to put out new vaccine policy

The Kerala High Court on Wednesday issued a directive to the central government to put out its new vaccine policy. The court was hearing a bunch of petitions demanding the streamlining of vaccine distribution.

It further added that it has cancelled the order given to companies for purchasing a lakh vaccine doses after they informed that they could not supply these large quantities. Furthermore, they can only supply vaccines only as per the directions of the Centre.

The case has been posted for further hearing on Thursday.

On Monday, PM Modi addressed the public and announced free vaccines for all over 18 from June 21 and allotted 25% of total vaccines to private hospitals.
