A helicopter carrying Indian businessman M.A. Yusufali and his family has been urgently landed due to technical snag in Panayikulam, Kochi city of Kerala, on Sunday.
The family along with his family was rushed to the hospital, however, it is learnt that they are safe.
A witness stated that the helicopter came down vertically and made a sudden fall.
"The chopper fell straight unto the land and I didn't realise what the incident was initially. There was rain and small gusts at the time," said Rajesh, a neighbouring resident of the crash site.
Yusufali was honoured by the prestigious Abu Dhabi Awards on Friday for his contributions to the UAE community. He is the chairman and managing director of the international conglomerate LuLu Group International.
