CM Vijayan forging alliance with Jihadis to ensure son-in-law becomes future CM: BJP’s Abdullakutty

Kannur: Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan is forging an unholy alliance with "Islamic extremists" and "jihadis" groups to ensure that his son-in-law, P A Mohammed Riyas, becomes the future chief minister of the state, alleged A P Abdullakutty, the state vice-president of the BJP.

Abdullakutty made the accusation against the CM during a party event held in Kannur. His allegations against Vijayan include transforming the CPI-M into the Communist Party of India-Muslim, with the questionable intention of promoting Riyas to the position of Chief Minister. P A Mohammed Riyas currently serves as the minister for the public works department and tourism.

Abdullakutty further asserted that Vijayan had aligned himself with various Muslim extremists and jihadis to achieve his objective.

As a former Member of Parliament from the Communist Party of India (Marxist) or CPI(M), Abdullakutty was expelled from the party. He vowed that the BJP would oppose any attempt to make Riyas the next Chief Minister.

Abdullakutty also accused the CPI(M) of receiving bribes from multiple deals, with the money ultimately benefiting Vijayan's family. He claimed that Vijayan exploited Riyas' position as the Minister for Public Works Department and Tourism to engage in corrupt practices.

According to Abdullakutty, the state of Kerala has experienced the most corrupt government in its history under Vijayan's leadership, with corruption prevailing in every project and transaction. He referred to Vijayan's official residence as a centre of corruption.

Touching upon a tragic incident involving the suicide of a young Muslim girl at a religious institution in Thiruvananthapuram, Abdullakutty criticized Vijayan for allowing an illegal hostel for minors to operate at the madrassa where the incident occurred. He questioned Vijayan's willingness to take action and close down the unauthorized hostel.
