Whether unaffiliated schools' students had written exams, HC to CBSE

Kochi: The Kerala High Court on Monday asked the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to file an affidavit to make clear whether students from unaffiliated schools in the state appeared for Class X board exam 2020 through affiliated schools.

In the event of any students from unaffiliated school have written exam this year, the CBSE would have to pay compensation to the students of Arooja’s Little Star School, Moolamkuzhi here, the court reportedly held.

Students of this school were denied permission to appear for exam as it lacked affiliation.

Meanwhile, an association of CBSE school managers urged the state government to take action against unrecognised schools for posing as CBSE-affiliated institutions.
