More charter flights to arrive in Karipur

Karipur: More charter flights will fly in with Malayalees returning from gulf countries following COVID-19 situation.

On Friday and Saturday Spice Jet will ferry passengers from Jeddah, Gulf Air to ply on June 7 and 9 from Bahrain, and Fly Dubai flight will arrive from Dubai on June 12. 

Flights have been arranged with the cooperation of various outfits.

The first flight arranged by KMCC arrived on Wednesday midnight from Ras Al- Khaimah.

This second charter flight from gulf to kerala, scheduled to have departed on Tuesday, arrived one and a half day later.

The flight from Jeddah had arrived in Karipur two days before.

Spice Jet plied the service in association with a private travel agency.

There were 158 onboard Ras Al- Khaimah flight; passengers included 9 from different Kerala districts and a Tamil Nadu native.

Two Malappuram natives were hospitalized after finding health issues.   107 passengers were taken to COVID care centres and 36 asymptomatic were directed to home isolation.
