Kozhikode: Students Islamic Organisation will legally challenge the reservation quota scam in admission to medical seats across the country, Kerala state president Salih Kottapalli has said.
Seats deserved to OBCs as per Mandal Commission recommendations were found to have been allotted to candidates in the General category. As a result, OBC students have lost around 11,000 seats in 2017-18, 2018-19, 2019-20 admissions. The students organisation alleges that the central government has undermined the statutory reservation policies to suit the Sangh parivar agendas
In a statement released here, Salih Kottapalli asked the state government to examine and release the data on number of seats denied to OBC students.
