No confrontation with Kerala government: Governor Arif Mohammad Khan

Kochi: Governor Arif Mohammad Khan said that he was not in for a confrontation with the state government.

Further clarifying his stand on the issue, Governor reportedly said that he was concerned with the wastage of time and public money for unnecessary purposes, like passing resolutions on subjects on which the state has no jurisdiction.

Talking to media here, Khan didn’t question the constitutional validity of the resolution passed by the assembly against CAA.

However, he alleged that historians like Irfan Habib were forcing the state government to involve in illegal and unconstitutional actions.
