Muslim bodies in Kerala planning joint action against CAA

Kochi:In a bid to boost efforts to mobilize public opinion against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), Muslim organizations in Kerala are planning collective action against the Centre.

A meeting of Muslim bodies in Kerala decided to hold a conference at Ernakulam on 1st January demanding repeal of the CAA.The meeting, which was held as per the decision taken at a meeting at Kozhikode last week, delegates of all the prominent Muslim organizations took part.

The meeting was held at KMEA Hall, Ernakulam and was presided over by the Joint Forum General Convenor and State General Secretary, Muslim League KPA Majeed.Leaders of various organisations spoke at the meeting.

Representatives of Muslim League, Samastha Kerala Jamiathul UlamaJama'at-e-Islami,Kerala Muslim Jama'at,Dakshin Kerala Jamiathul Ulama, Kerala Nawatul Mujahideen,Kerala State Jamiathul Ulama,KNM Markazuddawa,KMEA,MES, MSS, Wisdom Islamic Oranisation,Ernakulam District Jama'at Council,Mahal Co-ordination Committee and various Jama'at councils,attended the meeting.
