Chengannur: As only a few hours are left for the close of public electioneering, , Chengannur legislative assembly is witnessing the peak of a rigorous campaigning by all the three fronts.
Not even a corner of the constituency is spared from electioneering hullabaloo. Campaign vehicles race across the villages and towns with parody songs praising their own candidates and rediculing the others.
NDA is in an upbeat mood as Biplab Kumar Deb, Tripura Chief Minister who led the succesful campaign against CPM rule in his state, was in the constituency to lead a road show.
The UDF camp also is in high spirits as leaders including KM Mani, Jose K. Mani, PJ Joseph, PK Kunjalikutty, Panakkad Hyder Ali Shihab Thangal lined up for their public meeting.
