K Muraleedharan reprimands Vigilance Director Jacob Thomas

Kannur: Congress leader K Muraleedharan MLA on Tuesday came down heavily on Vigilance Director Jacob Thomas over the recent controversies with the Vigilance department.

Inaugurating a dharma held by the UDF here to protest against the policies of State-Central governments, Muraleedharan mocked the Vigilance Director calling him a ‘Njaramburogi’ (someone with a nerve disorder or a mental patient).

“The main symptom of nerve disorder is a tendency to hurt people. The parrot (a nickname recently coined by politicians to mention the post of Vigilance Director) has hurt K Babu, K C Joseph, and Oommen Chandy so much. Nobody is hearing about the quick verification reports in the bar bribery case now. After he understood that it is not possible to trap politicians, the parrot is now after IAS officers,” Muraleedharan said.

Taking a jibe at the LDF government in the State, the Congress leader said the present duty of the LDF minsters now was to inaugurate the projects completed by the UDF government in its tenure.

“They haven’t launched even a single new project. What Modi did was to remove Gandhi and sit in that position. But what Pinarayi Vijayan is doing now is to replace Gandhi with EMS Namboodiripad. Sooner or later he will remove EMS and sit in his position,” he said.
