Kochi: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan Saturday took a jibe at the lawyers saying that they should not consider the courts as their private assets.
Expressing his disappointment over yesterday’s incident in the vigilance court at Vanchiyoor, Pinarayi said the lawyers cannot decide who should and who should not enter the court
“The courts are part of the judicial system. The lawyers should not take up the power of the judiciary. The lawyers and journalists should not be fighting with each other,” he said while speaking at the Kerala Union of Working Journalists (KUWJ) meet in Kochi.
“The government will strongly oppose attempts to curtail the freedom of the press,” the chief minister added.
