Kannur: A CPI-M worker was hacked to death by unidentified persons at Koothuparamb in Kannur on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Kuzhichalil Mohanan, a local committee member.
Though he was soon rushed to Thalassery cooperative hospital, he died before reaching the hospital.
The CPI-M has alleged that the RSS was behind the attack.
In protest against the murder, the CPI-M has called for dawn-to-dusk hartal in the Kannur district .
