Senkumar files plea against his removal from DGP post

Thiruvananthapuram: Senior IPS officer T.P Senkumar Thursday filed a plea in the Central Administrative Tribunal challenging his removal from the DGP post.

Senkumar in his plea said it was in violation of the Kerala Police Act.

He also said no explanation had been given in the government order on his removal from the post.

After the new government led by Pinarayi Vijayan took charge, Senkumar was removed from the post of the state police chief.

He had publicly expressed his displeasure over the government’s decision, saying that it was “unceremonious.”
