Solar panel asks Saritha to produce controversial letter

Kochi: The Sivarajan commission Thursday asked solar scam accused Saritha S Nair to submit the controversial letter alleged to be written by her when she was lodged in the Pathanamthitta jail.

The panel’s directive was after Saritha refused to submit the letter claiming that it didn’t come under the terms of Reference of the commission.

Earlier, Saritha had sought more time to produce the letter before the commission.

She had also deposed before the commission that the police raided her house before taking her out for evidence collection and confiscated her laptop, desktop and hard disc. She said the police did not return those to her.

The Sivarajan Commission December 15 had asked Saritha Nair to reveal the paternity of her child, who was born after she got separated from her husband. The proceedings had ended abruptly with Saritha breaking down in the witness’s box.
