CPI-M activist arrested in Aslam murder case

Nadapuram: A CPI(M) worker was arrested on Sunday in connection with the Nadapuram Aslam murder case.

Police said that Rameesh was the main man behind hatching the conspiracy and he was the one who had identified Aslam for the murderers.

20-year-old Aslam was hacked to death by some unidentified persons on August 11, triggering tension in Nadapuram area.

Aslam was riding a two-wheeler when a group of persons who came in an Innova car attacked him around 6 pm. He was admitted to a private hospital but succumbed to injuries soon.

He was among the persons who were recently acquitted by a court in the case related to the murder of DYFI activist Shibin last year.
