CM Chandy mulls legal action over Saritha Nair disclosures

Thiruvananthapuram: A day after a news channel claimed having a copy of a letter from solar scam co-accused Saritha Nair disclosing that Chief Minister Oommen Chandy sexually abused her, Chandy said he was mulling legal action over the disclosures.

Chandy, who spoke to reporters at his official residence here said, it's rather strange that this solar scam was still surfacing even after three years.

"I am working on steps to go forward with legal measures on this. We feel this is a conspiracy and there is a mighty cash rich lobby behind these new disclosures," said Chandy.

Saritha Nair on Sunday had confirmed that she had written the 24-page letter in 2013. But while agreeing to the contents, she refused to discuss them.

Opposition leader V.S. Achuthanandan, meanwhile, on Monday sought a fresh probe into the disclosures made in Saritha's letter, released by the TV channel on Sunday, claiming that she was sexually exploited by Chandy at his official residence.
