Ajeetha Begum IPS unhappy over transfer

Thiruvananthapuram: Days after the Home Department made a reshuffle in the state police force, a top officer has come out expressing displeasure over her transfer.

Ajeetha Begum IPS who has been appointed as the principal of Police Training College, Thiruvananthapuram, said she was annoyed by transfer orders.

"I had big expectations when I was appointed the district police chief of Wayanad. The decision to transfer me to Thiruvananthapuram was unexpected," she said in a Facebook post.

"It's a government decision (to transfer her) and I'm dissatisfied with it. However, I had done my duties perfectly during my service in Wayanad and am satisfied about that. The sudden transfer has caused some trouble. That's all," Ajeetha said.

Ajeetha Begum, however, removed the Facebook post later after her remarks kicked up a controversy.
