HC flays AG, Vigilance in bar bribery case

Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala High Court Friday flayed the Advocate General (AG) and the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau for their intervention in the bar bribery case.

The court was considering a petition filed by the ADGP, Vigilance, seeking stay on the Vigilance Court verdict to conduct re-probe into the bar bribery case.

A bench headed by Justice B. Kemal Pasha observed the Vigilance crossed its limits by filing a review petition in the case.

The court also asked why the Advocate General did appear for the Vigilance in the court in connection with the case.

Final hearing and verdict in the case will be held on Monday.
