Karipur firing: Fire force supervisor Ajikumar arrested

Kozhikode: A fire force official was arrested on Monday in connection with the June 10 clashes between central security personnel and Airport Authority of India (AAI) staff, leading to the death of a jawan.

Ajikumar, Fire and Rescue supervisor at the airport, was arrested by the Kodotty police.

Four CISF personnel were arrested on Sunday in connection with destruction of property during the clash at Karipur airport.

Earlier, police had registered case against 100 CISF personnel. The cases were registered on the basis of a complaint by Airport Authority of India.

Police have already arrested 9 AAI officials, on a complaint from CISF commander Biju.

All the nine airport officials have been remanded in judicial custody till June 27.
