Thiruvananthapuram: The State government Wednesday has scrapped its earlier decision to relax norms of the engineering entrance examinations.
The Cabinet, which met today, decided to restore the condition that the minimum cut-off of 10 marks is required to qualify in the rank lists of the engineering courses.
Releasing the KEAM 2015 prospectus last week, Education Minister P K Abdu Rabb had said the condition that a candidate should score a minimum of 10 marks in the entrance examination had been done away with this year.
The Kerala government’s decision to drop minimum marks in the entrance exams for engineering admissions had evoked sharp reactions.
