Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Governor and former Chief Justice of India Justice P Sathasivam Tuesday suggested avoiding epithets like "His Excellency" while addressing him.
"Honourable Governor of Kerala desires that he may be addressed as Honourable Governor in all correspondence and not along with any other epithet such as His Excellency," a Raj Bhavan release said here.
65-year-old Sathasivam was sworn in as the 23rd Governor of the state on September 5.
His appointment had triggered debate in legal and political circles on the propriety of giving gubernatorial assignment to a former CJI.
