Riyadh: Seven more people died of Covid in Saudi Arabia, taking the Covid death toll to 246.
In the preceding 24 hours of the official information released on Sunday, 1,313 patients recovered and the total recoveries rose to 11,457. 1,912 tested positive, thus the total Covid positive cases touching 3,048. Of the new cases, 79 per cent were men and 21 women.
So far 449,644 tests were conducted. Dr Mohammed Abdul Al-Ali, spokesman of the health ministry gave the figures at a press meet.
KUWAIT
Kuwait reported 1.065 new cases on Sunday which included 244 Indians. The number of new cases is the highest for a single day so far. A similar spike was recorded in the number of deaths also on Sunday: nine patients died, taking the total death toll so far to 58.
There has been a total of 8,688 positive tested cases so far. 107 patients recovered on Sunday.
UAE
In UAE, 781 new cases were confirmed with Covid, and 13 people died. 509 recovered from the infection, taking the recovery total to 4804.
Statistics show that 25 per cent of those infected have recovered so far. The total infected cases were 18,198 of whom 198 died.
The number of confirmed infections and deaths was the highest so far for a single. So is the case with recoveries.
OMAN
Sultanate of Oman reported 175 new cases of Covid on Sunday. The total Covid-infected cases in the country thus reached 3,399.
Of the new cases 123 are foreigners. There have been a total of 1,117 recoveries so far in the country.
