Private firms continue to operate in Kuwait despite curbs

Kuwait: The continued operation of private companies in the country is feared to defeat the purpose of the strict curbs imposed to check the spread of corona virus.

Hundreds of private firms are still open.  The majority of these organisations are Indians,  and in recent days the virus has been seen as spreading more among Indians.  A large section of this are those who got infected by transmission from others or have been in contact with them.

The curfew in the country is from 5 pm to 4 am.  Therefore, private companies work during day time.  As per law, on public holidays private firms have permission to work and it is this loophole that is being used by such firms.  However,  employees in them go for duty with fear.

Many feel that it is due to the self-restraining practices of individual employees,  that things are not getting out of control.
