In the video, Anisha recounts her experience with an Ola driver she booked from Bandra, who began crying uncontrollably upon her entry into the car. The driver claimed to have recently lost his father and been robbed, expressing suicidal thoughts throughout the ride. Despite Anisha's attempts to console him, the driver's erratic behavior raised suspicions.
During a brief stop requested by Anisha for an urgent call, the driver accelerated away, leading her to believe it might be a scam aimed at extorting money. Anisha shared the video on Instagram to raise awareness, suspecting it to be a new method employed by unethical drivers.
Following the post, others shared similar encounters with the same driver, indicating a potentially recurring pattern. Several influencers and content creators also reported comparable experiences.
After the video gained traction, Ola reached out to Anisha, assuring her that the driver had been terminated. In a follow-up video, Anisha revealed that the driver had faced multiple complaints since 2021, suggesting the "scam" may have been ongoing for an extended period.
