Will BJP announce polls in Gujarat next week, asks Kejriwal

New Delhi: AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal got on the wrong side of BJP on Saturday, asking if it would hold early polls in Gujarat, according to IANS

The comment could never be timelier just as BJP leaders from Gujarat met PM Modi to discuss polls in the state on Saturday.

As Gujarat is set to go to the polls later this year, Kejriwal's AAP is planning an all-out campaign in the BJP bastion.

AAP is pitting itself against the state BJP as the potential opponent.

Thus, Kejriwal's swipe at BJP was part of his efforts to sap the morale of the BJP administration in the state.

AAP leader wondered if BJP was so scared of AAP and if the party was going to announce fresh polls after dissolving the Assembly.

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, state minister Rajendra Trivedi, and principal secretary K. Kailashnathan were huddling with Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah.

Beaming with confidence from sweeping win in Punjab, AAP is contesting all seats in Gujarat.

Kejriwal is set to leave for Gujarat for a two-day visit on Sunday, IANS reported.
