UP cow shelter to play bhajans for the wellbeing and happiness of cows

Following District Magistrate Bhushan Tripathi's instructions to officials of the Nagar Panchayat in UP to play melodious hymns of Lord Krishna to cows in the morning and evening, cows at the Kanha Gaushraya Sthal in Hamirpur of UP will now get to hear bhajans over speakers at a low volume. The move is aimed at their 'sense of wellbeing and happiness. It is believed that cows respond positively to music.

Last week, the District Magistrate and SP Kamlesh Dixit had visited the shelter and performed cow worship and offered jaggery to the cows. They further gave saffron shawls to the cows to avoid winter.
