Two civilians were killed and eight others were injured in a suspected terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir.
Officials said two armed men entered Dangri village in the Rajouri district and started firing indiscriminately at people. The wounded were shifted to Rajouri medical college hospital.
Mukesh Singh, Additional Director General of Police, told NDTV that firing took place at three houses. "All the injured are being treated. Police and District administration have reached the spot, and an operation has been launched. Multiple bullet injuries were found on the body of the injured."
Local reports also said the number of dead has risen to three and 10 people were injured. Dr Mehmood, Medical Superintendent, Associated Hospital, Rajouri said that three people were killed and seven others were injured in a firing incident in the Dangri area of Rajouri, reported DNA.
This is the second incident of civilian killings in the district in two weeks. Two civilians were killed outside an army camp in Rajouri on December 16.
