A coach of the Kasganj passenger train caught fire suddenly on Monday. The train was stopped at Farrukhabad station in Uttar Pradesh. Since the passengers managed to get down in time, no casualties were reported.
Railway officials informed that the third coach behind the train was immediately separated from the train engine.
The passenger train has departed from Kasganj district at 11.45 p.m. on Sunday. After the fire broke out, the train was stopped near Hathiyapur railway crossing.
The cause of the fire is unclear. The matter is being investigated, a railway spokesperson said.
